several outfit changes on a wednesday (mar 2, 2011)

mar 2, 2011... wednesday...
started with breastfeeding lecture at 8am...
then off to barangay masaguing via boat at barangay melgar... with people from DOH and PHO...
for GIDA (geographically isolated and disadvantage areas) program of DOH...

1st outfit... pants for lecture...

 
green and white polo shirt with hoodie (mint), black jeans (zara), blue denim jacket (two percent homme), green leather loafers (wade)
gloomy start of the day...
brekky at the bahay tuklasan first...
 L-R: fried pork liver, tomato, corned beef omelet...


participants on the 3rd day...

breasfeeding lecture at 8am...



2nd outfit... shorts for boat ride to barangay masaguing... plus white jacket & clogs...

 huge waves...

all aboard...

 raining while cruising thru the sea...



 barangay masaguing seacoast after 30 minutes of rainy and turbulent boat ride...

drenched in rain...

our sweet ride docked...



 my clothes are wet due to the rain... i'm literally drenched in rain... dripping even...

3rd oufit... borrowed shirt from a local resident... blue round neck shirt...


 nilupak na balinghoy... mashed root crops...

 me giving speech...


lunch is served...

 tinola manok...




 the GIDA gang...

people bringing rice up the 300+ steps of stairs...

since there's two much turbulence in the sea... we decided to take a hike... which is far from what we'd hope for...
 start...
along rivers...
 
 up the stairs...
 through huge boulders...
 amidst breathtaking views... gorge...

 stairs still...
 muddy paths...
 horses with attitude...
 beautiful gorge...
 wait... rest... photo op...
 water flows from the mountains...
 holy cow!
 barangay montemayor from a distance...
slippery downhill...
 baby carabao...
 let's sit for a while...
 
 river...
 twilight looking shot...
lets cross that river...
after almost an hour or two of hike... rice fields at barangay montemayor...

another 30 mins hike then... our sweet ride... dump truck...


blurred...

very GIDA indeed...
very tiring
but
fun
